Little Big Consulting was founded with a simple idea: SMEs aren’t just smaller versions of large corporations. They have unique challenges and opportunities that require tailored financial expertise. Over the years, I saw how impactful it is when SMEs have access to senior financial leadership that’s practical and grounded. That’s why I started Little Big Consulting.

I'm Akin Karaca, a Chartered Accountant (CAANZ), a Member of Australian Institute of Company Directors and hold a Master of Professional Accounting from the University of Technology Sydney.

Across the past two decades, I’ve worked in both global organisations and owner-lead SMEs, leading finance teams, building reporting frameworks, improving profitability, and stepping into operational and General Manager roles during periods of growth and post‑acquisition change. That mix matters. It means I bring the discipline of best‑practice finance together with a practical understanding of how businesses run day to day.

Before finance, I was a professional tour guide, an unexpected but valuable foundation for how I work today. Guiding isn’t just about reciting historical facts; it’s about knowing what matters, telling the story, and helping people make sense of what they’re seeing. Finance is no different. Numbers only become useful when they are understood.
